Forest Landowner magazine, the official magazine of the Forest Landowners Association (FLA), has recently been honored with Graphic Design USA’s American Inhouse Design Award.
The mission of Forest Landowner magazine is to provide information to forest landowners that helps them achieve their land management objectives and to promote understanding and support for federal policy issues by being a publication that is timely and inviting to read. In the last year, the magazine has included articles on carbon markets, cost trends, biomass, silvopasture, timber markets, and forest products markets.
“I am pleased that Forest Landowner magazine has been recognized as a well-designed publication,” says Sarah Sturm, who has been the Editor of Forest Landowner magazine since August of 2005. “Good design communicates the substance of a magazine’s content, so this award confirms that we have succeeded in providing valuable information to our readers.”
“This award demonstrates that Forest Landowner magazine brings our members a return on their investments of time and money,” says FLA Executive Vice President, Scott Jones, “I see the magazine continuing to grow and thrive as the leading benefit of membership in the Forest Landowners Association.”
