2010 National Forest Landowners Advocacy Day
August 4, 2010
Join your fellow forest landowners in Washington, DC, to help the Forest Landowners Association (FLA), Coalition for Fair Lumber Imports (CFLI), and Forest Landowners Tax Council (FLTC) positively influence public policy at a critical time for America’s private forest landowners.
During the day, visit Congressional offices and take in the sights of Capitol Hill. Join staff-guided groups based on region and attend 15 to 20 minute meetings with your Members of Congress to share your personal experiences owning and operating forestland and views on issues affecting private forestland.
During the evening, enjoy a reception on Capitol Hill and dinner at Old Ebbitt Grill, a restaurant established in 1856 just steps from the White House and a favorite of many former presidents. At night, stay at the historic Hamilton Crowne Plaza Washington, a fully restored architectural gem near renowned museums and national monuments, including the Smithsonian, the Corcoran Gallery, and the National Mall.
