Forest Landowners have more influence than they realize with newly elected Senators

One quarter (24%) of private forest landowners across the country will be represented by first time Senators when the 114th Congress begins in January. As part of their responsibilities representing forests landowner constituents, the freshman class of 12 U.S. Senators will be charged with making decisions on federal legislation and regulations that impact a third (33%) of the nation’s private forests, a combined total of 121 million acres and 2.7 million private forest landowners.
