Clean Water Act
Tomorrow, the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee will consider and possibly approve S. 787, the Clean Water Restoration Act. This bill would greatly expand the jurisdiction of the Clean Water Act to include all waters of the U.S. This would include any wet area in the U.S. and could subject private forest landowners to federal permitting requirements for forest management activities.
To voice concern about this bill, contact the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and tell your U.S. Senators to oppose S. 787, the Clean Water Restoration Act.
