Dr. Randy Wynne will address the following:
· The "state of the art" of forestry remote sensing
· Where forestry remote sensing fits in the historical context
· Emerging trends in sensor development
· Web-based delivery of spatial data and processing, and improved processing
algorithms
· Changes in forestry (intensification, globalization, TIMOs/REITs, ecosystem services)
and how they affect information required for sustainable forest management
· Current collection methods for multiscale information on the forest resource and the
best opportunities to improve both the value and quality of the information provided.
