The Forest Landowner Foundation

November 7, 2012

The Forest Landowner Foundation was established to assist landowners in caring for their forests by providing them with information and education, to help the general public appreciate the extensive ecological benefits of forestry, and to educate the public about the benefits of forests and forest products.

The Foundation pursues this mission through, among other things, the publication of educational materials, a scholarship program for forestry students, and the development of programs to educate the general public about the ecological benefits of forestry.

The continuing need to provide research and information to private forest landowners and to the public is critical in these times of constant change. Further, the need to encourage and provide financial assistance to tomorrow’s leaders in their educational pursuits of forest management is critical to our industry’s future.

Scholarships

This year, the Foundation selected five outstanding college students and awarded scholarships enabling them attain their educational goals.

We will choose another group of students to receive scholarships to be presented at our 2013 National Conference.

Since 2004, the Foundation has awarded over $45,000 in scholarships to students nation-wide.
